Easy to make, simple ingredients, and delicious. That's how I like to cook, and that's exactly what this meal is!
Bust out that slow cooker-- they're not just for the fall, you know-- and get ready for your house to be filled with an aroma like no other. Not to mention the incredible flavor!
Ingredients:
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
3 cloves garlic, finely sliced
24 oz. jar of your favorite pasta sauce (I used Prego's traditional sauce)
8 oz. of your favorite pasta (I used penne)
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried basil
salt & pepper to taste
Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on pasta
3 Tbs. olive oil (and extra for pasta)
Instructions:
Pour olive oil in slow cooker
Coat chicken with seasoning and place in slow cooker
Place sliced garlic atop chicken
Pour sauce over chicken
Cook on low for 6 - 7 hours
When chicken is nearly ready, cook pasta.
While pasta is cooking, pour mozzarella atop chicken to melt in slow cooker
Add a glug of olive oil to cooked pasta, mix with extra sauce from slow cooker, and top with parmesan cheese (or mozzarella)
Buon appetito!
Serves 4 - 6
