Slow Cooker Mozzarella Chicken

Updated: Apr 27, 2022

Easy to make, simple ingredients, and delicious. That's how I like to cook, and that's exactly what this meal is!

Bust out that slow cooker-- they're not just for the fall, you know-- and get ready for your house to be filled with an aroma like no other. Not to mention the incredible flavor!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 3 cloves garlic, finely sliced

  • 24 oz. jar of your favorite pasta sauce (I used Prego's traditional sauce)

  • 8 oz. of your favorite pasta (I used penne)

  • 1 tsp. dried oregano

  • 1 tsp. dried basil

  • salt & pepper to taste

  • Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on pasta

  • 3 Tbs. olive oil (and extra for pasta)

Instructions:

  • Pour olive oil in slow cooker

  • Coat chicken with seasoning and place in slow cooker

  • Place sliced garlic atop chicken

  • Pour sauce over chicken

  • Cook on low for 6 - 7 hours

  • When chicken is nearly ready, cook pasta.

  • While pasta is cooking, pour mozzarella atop chicken to melt in slow cooker

  • Add a glug of olive oil to cooked pasta, mix with extra sauce from slow cooker, and top with parmesan cheese (or mozzarella)

Buon appetito!

Serves 4 - 6
